Associate Branch Chief for Preparedness & Emergency Response at Arkansas Department of Health
Aaron Adams currently serves as the Associate Branch Chief for Preparedness & Response for the Arkansas Department of Health. In this role Aaron provides direction and leadership to the ADH Nuclear Planning & Response Program, Technical Hazards Preparedness Program, Emergency Operations Section, Planning & Community Preparedness Section, and Finance & Healthcare Preparedness Section. Aaron also serves as the Arkansas ESFB Public Health and Medical Lead for Arkansas and coordinates closely with the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM} and federal agencies in disaster response activities on behalf of the public health and medical communities in Arkansas. Aaron has over 20 years of experience in disaster preparedness & response in several disciplines to include volunteer disaster programs, search and rescue, emergency management, public health preparedness, WMD-CBRNE preparedness and response, instruction and evaluation, process improvement, exercise program management, communications, and EOC operations and management. Over the course of his career he has responded to state and federal declared disasters in both field response and EOC coordination roles.
