Cultural Competency Summits 2018


Join the Arkansas Department of Health, Arkansas Minority Health Commission, and CHCA from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm as we learn best practices, share strategies, and connect with key stakeholders and content experts to develop culturally appropriate care for communities throughout Arkansas. 

 

Through attending these regional summits, participants will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to better serve a variety of vulnerable populations, as well as gain awareness of the best practices, intervention strategies, policies and resources available to be more effective in the provision of culturally competent care. 

 

Registration will open Monday, April 2, 2018 and is limited to the first *75 per event! Make sure to mark your calendars for this special series on cultural competency! 

 

**Topics for these summits currently include: 

  • LGBTQ Health
  • Faith Based Communities 
  • Marshallese
  • Hispanic cultural structures 
  • HIV/AIDs 

*Registration will be capped at 50 for the event in Monticello
